MacMahon has similar debt to equity ratio compared with Perenti Global but they have roughly twice the profitability.
Perenti post their profit before tax numbers while Mah post npat.
altman score is for manufacturing businesses whose assets do not have the same resale value due to their specificity in times of distress. Mah assets are more generic in nature so have less risk of recovery in a fire sale: loaders, ore trucks, diggers etc.
