My disclaimer is largely in jest, ive been using a filtered air fed welding helmet for the last decade due to the high expose to hardfacing and silica in my last place of employment. a recent lung test and xray was good thankfully. I even have eyesight left!

i just spent my day at a coal mine doing above ground repairs and can see how such a thing can occur, very dirty work, im ready for a good shower! My condolences for your loss, I understand in part as both my grandfathers were taken by Asbestos before I could know them.

Thankyou for the concern, happy to to say many younger up and comers take safety much more seriously and willingly these days, as do employers.
