Gday @seismicguy, these are not upstream plants, they are RO plants, they treat water but don't do anything about the salt, even Shell/QGC's upstream plants only further concentrate the RO water but don't treat it.
PWN's upstream plants would concentrate the RO water for the others in readiness for downstream processing and mineral extraction and sale. two step process, one of which Shell/QGC already have two of at a cost of $1B. QGC have no downstream capability at this point in time. if I'm wrong, I will correct it and ask Bahay for clarification. Mr M.
