Basically the concern at this point for all of us is the time it will take to get all the approvals that will be required, the cost of developing a mine , the cost of extraction and processing , and the price of these PGE’s etc seven years from now . Australia is changing rapidly and there are so many feral groups that want to stop all resource developments . I hold a number of oil stocks and as an example Santos have been waiting for over ten years to get approval to develop a big gas discovery in NSW (Narrabri) and in the meantime two groups are taking legal action to prevent development . On top of that we have a number of state Govts that are beholden to the Greens , including ours here in WA where the next election will be a lot closer than the last one . Woodside and Santos have suffered delays on offshore projects nowhere near land because a lack of indigenous consultation .
The new worry is that we are being shorted by some who believe the shareprice will go down further.
I am a holder but given the direction the country is heading in and in particular if the YES vote wins , I plan to sell all my resource stocks.
