Current trading, with the SP remaining in a tight band around low $3’s, seems to indicate expectation of more manoeuvres in the battle. A long time is going to elapse before this ALB scheme of arrangement even gets to first base. Shareholders should keep being patient, as time is on our side as we are inexorably moving to commissioning and production. It is logical that the moves are coming now when we are still to finally deliver the project, as that is when true value will begin to be revealed.

Latest buying could be simply short covering, but even if it is that would probably lend more weight to the potential of another bid, because shorters would otherwise imagine the scheme bid would be defeated and hold their shorts.

The current price will be eclipsed in 2024 imo when we are in production. The supposed high risk of commissioning is a Furphy in my opinion. We know our plant will be completed virtually on time as we have been told that all items to complete it are either on site already or in Perth waiting transport to KV. We therefore have everything to gain by holding or even buying now imo. There will be some nervous moments when the plant is turned on and then necessary adjustments are made to flotation media etc, and while we get the recoveries up to the level desired. We will get there! This has been such a well conceived project that I cannot imagine there will be anything major by way of issue.

If another offer comes, there appears sufficient qualification in the announcement we saw on 4^th September indicating access to the same data room would likely be available to satisfy an unsolicited offerer’s request. I cannot be certain of this as the no shop, no talk provisions are not yet clear.
Looking at the timeline for the recent ESS Scheme, and if ours follows something similar I have doubts this could be voted on before December and probably into January. It is also relevant that the AGM is in late November and it will be a very interesting event imo. It could be used by those opposing the bid to ask some probing questions. We’ll see.

Will there be an offer from Hancock? I don’t think there will in the absence of another suitor entering, but next year it could well happen. By then we will be a different company with higher value I believe, and I am fully expecting to remain a shareholder long term.

Well said @dynofish Sounds as though you have done this before. Glad to have your commentary here. If any HC poster is wondering how this might play out and what the timings could be just read dynofish's post. It is as accurate as it can be in predicting the future given what we know IMO. In summary then, patience required, the longer this goes the stronger and more valuable LTR becomes and another bid will accelerate everything. so sit back and relax, all will be good if we can be patient.
