SQM shareholder here. IMO there in way FIRB will fail as SQM currently hold a 50% stake in the Wesfarmer's Mt Holland Mine (the old Kidman Resources project and are building a lithium chemicals plant in Kwinana, WA.

Why would the government antagonise an entity that is already investing billions into Australian to produce high-margin, value-added products?
RE : Gina. I think she's a complete sociopath who has NFI what she's doing. The global lithium and battery chemicals industry is a bit more complicated than ringing up Barnaby Joyce and asking for another tax-break.
