Before some arrogant POS tells me I am lazy or stupid, I am just a regular retail holder. I have no understanding of the underworking machinations (which is exactly how these dogs like it), but could you help me?

I googled equity swap, but don't understand it. How can you give someone your shares but still hold them? Does this system imply that one side is handing over shares in one company to a another hedge fund and in return they are receiving TPD?

What is the purpose of this equity swapping?
