Indeed ... but be careful what you say, they are the trading arm of BlackRock and Vanguard Group and won't hesitate to sick the legal system on to you ... maybe ... I don't know ... just asking for a friend.
They declare they now have 40.7m shares at 20Nov. They only needed less than 30m to have the 5% to become a SuS.
Some 20m shares traded last friday (20Nov) and when the short report came out, almost 4m shares were used to short. I wonder who it could have been? ... and yet now we've found they've accumulated ... um, well, whoever it could have been. Who else could it have been???
At least they think KAR's a buy ... despite the oil spill at the GOM, off the coast of Louisiana.
Even after the Institutional gift/placement, they'll be a SuS.
The Chairman said at the AGM that they expect about 50% of retailers to take up their entitlement. Short activity continues, so I imagine they (whoever they may be) are trying to discourage retailers (maybe) by suppressing the share price.
Meanwhile at the AGM yesterday, the Chairman declared triumphantly that during his tenure he had seen the KAR share register change from 40% institutional investors to 70%. A strange measurement he has of success, IMHO.
Now we have a dodgy (some might say) CR ... and he declares he's doing a Harold Holt.Nothing suss ...
The only Director I was impressed by yesterday was Dr Julian Fowles. Knowledgable and well spoken. Yet he seemed somewhat p!ssed for some reason.
I made an error on wednesday when casting doubt in his direction, when the financing of the Who Dat acquisition is wholly and solely a Chairman's role and responsibilty.
Lets change the Memo & Arts to a single director company. Dr Fowle's remuneration package is good but we can give him the other Directors payments too.
