I think you're missing the point, I'm not talking about current levels of shorting (0.4%). State Street have only just bought in so we are talking about the shorting that is (perhaps) about to begin. Not saying definitively that SS is an agent for shorting but people should be aware of the rumours and history.
Just a brain dump of my opinion, for what it's worth, and in no way financial advice!!!
