I suspect they will cease after the TPD dilution, they only just tipped over the 5% threshold. Index Funds are very benign, they don't really hide their position, it is what it is. Vanguard will likely have proprietary funds of their own plus hold mandates from multiple institutional clients, those clients choose the custodians so some variation is understandable.
Re MIN, it's a fair point, impossible to believe that was an administrative error in the purest sense.
