So the facts are that UBS issued a Substantial Shareholding Notice showing that it had a beneficial ownership and fund management position totalling 70 mil. The next day (but before publishing its announcement) it clears out its short position. Then a couple of days later arch rival BOA announces a significant short position giving rise to surprise surprise a Substantial Shareholding Notice with a tidy little 5.1%
So now there is a big long position with UBS and a similar short position with BOA. Who is behind that and what comes next?
