Of all these funds I'd hazard a guess that it is Goldman that is most involved in short positions of the stock. They seem to have always held both long and short positions in the stock.
I'm no expert but you can see in the listed transactions in the announcement that their position was reached both through buys and 'borrow of stock' transactions.
I can only assume that the latter means short positions that GS hold themselves - though if anyone can clarify it would be appreciated. I may be interpreting incorrectly.
But if that is correct then GS held 6.7M shorts as at 01 Feb 2024, which represents around 16% of the current level of short interest in A2M.
Mind you, they are reporting this almost 2 months after the fact (which seems rather late) so it's probably changed further since then.
