Yep.
Whatever we lose on transport from China, with Australian made panels, the inputs(energy, labour, materials, taxes and infrastructure) in Australia will all but guarantee that the inferior made Aussie panel will be more expensive. Couple that with Labor's "Liddell vision" , that is a guarantee that it will be unionise and go the way of the Australian car manufacturing industry, if it ever gets off the ground.
The Chinese have capacity to drop prices further, if they want to, to make any Australian business case pitched at financiers unviable.
