I think the reliability of the underlying cashflows of these PDPs is under-appreciated. The problem is usually that these debt collectors overpay, not that the actual PDPs underperform. Way back when CCP bombed out in 07, it was mostly a case of overpaying and not matching the cashflows of the PDPs to the debt that was funding them.
