This report cites a "notable slowdown in three of the world's biggest and most influential new car markets" and notes the lack of charging infrastructure as a major reason; plus inadequate performance in extreme temperatures (in the US); plus manufacturers failing to deliver on lower prices.
There is definitely a lack of charging infrastructure in many countries particularly Australia. That has stopped me from buying one right now.
