You are making the assumption that it only takes a few shares to push the price down to the price they want and then they merrily scoop up as many shares as they like without pushing the price up, and that someone else returns the price to it's original position giving them a fat profit. It doesn't work that way, and if it did I would be doing it.
I say this partly in gest as you have nominated your experience in your name but don't get me wrong there are "fully licenced" traders that think the same. Remember every transaction has a buyer and a seller and each has an alternate view on the direction of the price. The price is just a point landed at that satisfies both parties at that time. Don't look for hidden meanings in price movements, you will never get an answer. Just make the decision of whether the price offers you a good opportunity or not. If you constantly think there is someone out there who is manipulating the market against you then you will constantly jump at shadows and that won't work out well.
