If it has filed a notice of substantial holding it means it holds that stock and is long and holds >5% of the company.
The transactions show that these purchases were made on market.
I don't understand where the doubt is coming from from these disclosures?
If a fund was short the shares they would certainly not be filing a substantial notice saying it held >5% of the company.
