So, my quick lookup seems to suggest this investor is one of the four, the release ( ~10 M ) representing almost exactly 25% of the initial allocation in the placement, so I guess the other 3 should follow up with similar releases soon.
The release would suggest our investor is ( according to the internet, if it can be trusted ) ;
Wilhelm Konrad Zours is currently serving as the Chairman-Supervisory Board at Deutsche Balaton AG since 1999, at Beta Systems Software AG since 2013, at Sparta AG, SPARTA Invest AG, and YVAL Idiosynkratische Investments SE as the Chairman-Supervisory Board, and at Delphi Unternehmensberatung AG and VV Beteiligungen AG as a Member-Management Board.
A personal fortune in excess of $400M.
Has major positions in several ASX companies. ( including Altech Batteries (16%) ).
Has been alerted to the opportunity through ASX investment advisor, listed on release ( FiftyOne Capital, based in WA ). At least that is my guess.
So it would seem the deal is with four wealthy entities that have taken a substantial position in the company, and have (hopefully ) laid a strong/enduring capital foundation to NC6..
Unfortunately, this probably means no Alpine Group on Birla for the other 3 investors - more of the above at a guess.

Scenario is most likely that the JV commercial negotiations have stalled, or taking longer than expected - for whatever reason.
Wayne & Winton had to get more funds into the company while negotiations continue ( urgently, before funds completely dried up ), and rather than another $200k raise against tired retail holders sought out some big fish via WA contacts, with enough capital to give them some breathing space to finalise commercial negotiations.
Guys like Wilhelm are not mugs - the proposition must have been compellng.
Let's see who the other 3 entities are.
