    We have always been regarded as 'tightly held'. Hopefully, that IS the case. They can only churn so many shares - they cannot create new ones.

    Also, if we do get 'bent over', it won't be just small holders. There are many large holders (inclusive of management) sitting on potential huge profits. They will be working hard to protect that situation.

    A while back @sillazze suggested that the share buy back might be directed at that very thing i.e. reducing the SOI and thus maximising the %of shares in 'safe hands'.

    Retail may have only themselves to blame in the event of a hostile takeover. Personally, I'm not too concerned about a low ball offer succeeding. I am backing that management are in control in that respect.

    They will decide (along with major holders) the minimum price acceptable and if it does not occur we have the revenue to proceed alone until a fair price can't be ignored by potential acquirers.

    [Of course, if the belief that we have been/are tightly held turns out to be a myth, then we may be in trouble.]
