It's a possibilty that they purchased (or just increased their previous holdings) to 5.11% to particpate in a NO vote. The intention could also be to put additional weight behind a YES vote.
By my rough calculations, based on them purchasing at $ 7.20 and selling at $ 7.40 they could make an approximate $ 830.000 profit. Not bad for a couple months holding.
This figure could be higher if they were sitting just under 5% for the last 9 months ( if they purchased in the $ 4-5 range).
