There's nothing manipulative about it, if there were enough buyers for the stock the shorts would get run over and forced to cover, reality is at the moment the sellers are well and truly in control.
Interesting between State Street and JP they have 32m shares which is around about the number traded on the day of the ASX300 inclusion ... may be coincidental
