institutions like these aren’t what you are looking for. In particular vanguard is really just an index fund: they HAVE to hold the constituents of the indexes they are trying to replicate (not getting into semantics of ETFs and a literal index). Vanguard would definitely be lending out to shorters that’s how they reduce their bottom line and get low fees for clients.
you want institutions who will buy and hold and ideally not lend out the stock either. Mesoblast is a no no for most vanilla institutional investors until they are cash flow positive and growing that positivity.
