It is quite possible, given the relative uncertainty being faced in the US at present, especially the debt ceiling and their twin deficits and the likelihood on continual USD depreciation, that you may be seeing global reweighing out of dollar assets to something a little more balanced which would include Australia. Been plenty of talk of that happening and would explain the daily buying. Asx200 up close on 5% over the past month so could easy be some of that in there too.
