Don't get me wrong - I think MYX will have to either come down (to maintain Cosette interest), entertain an offer that is *significantly* lower than $7.40 from another suitor, or go it alone. But have a difference of opinion on that article analysing the situation.
IMO: 100% - the $7.40 from Cosette is dead in the water. PE have probably pulled the pin - and when you have a *growth* stock reporting lower than expected growth in one of its *core* categories; no surprise they called a MAC event. Let's break this down - extracting the additional drugs that MYX have acquired but are not revenue generating as yet.
Nextstellis growth - fk all. Can't sustain anything above 3-4% MoM
TMD - no growth - back to acquisition levels - both parties commenced legal action against each other
Derm - stagnant
Why do so many people on these forums think this stock is worth > $7.40? One answer - because they paid more (me included originally). No company has offered more. The company that offered this on the back of a $31m EBITDA 1/2, back tracked on guidance of slower growth in the 2nd 1/2!!!
I would be over the moon with $6.70 (which is around my tip when this event was triggered and I got back in), but I'm starting to feel this could get ugly without another suitor. Fingers crossed on Organon, but I fear they are cash shy at even $6.70.
Let's pray this doesn't drag - and dragging means $$$$ to courts and solicitors.
