Avianflu, Argent is not a silver focused company anymore.It is obvious that their main game plan at Kempfield now revolves around base metals with a focus on zinc. Importantly this focus has been obvious for over a year so they are not wannabes who have just latched onto zinc.Have a look at the credentials of their technical team led by Dr Vladimir David.
However if there were to be a sudden surge in the price of silver Argent has a number of advantages I can see - they have already submitted their application for a mining lease and their Environmental Impact Statement has also already been submitted. Furthermore Kempfield has already been granted the status of a NSW State Significant Development.They could either process by way of a heap leach operation or potentially a CIL based plant. One might also consider that Argent could/would prudently lock in any sudden rise in the price of silver by way of hedging.
Whilst Kempfield surely remains Argent's plan A holders would IMO no doubt be aware of their plan B with West Wyalong as a porphyry copper/gold project.I don't think the current SP of Argent adequately reflects the worth of either project
