Long term is just an excuse to avoid the work of figuring out the next 6 to 12 months. It just not make any sense to hold through a greater than 50% loss hoping for great gains at some point. seldom does the future unfold like we think. If it does there is always time to get back in. I understand how you are thinking. i did it many times when I was investing many years ago Has any thing happened like you expected in the last 18 months?
