Hi @sabine - life is great thanks. SPR is hurting that: not at all - reminds me of holding NRW at 50c on the way up! I hope you are going well too.

In answer to your question, I don't really know the exact sequence - just that index funds are unusual in the way they want to start exposure on a day to capture the index performance - and that shorting is one of the tools. I spend as little time as possible thinking about the rest - who is trying to manipulate etc etc but that's just me.
