Gotcha on the Golden Wings area, as you say there was a shallow historic pit and the square waste rock shape around it would be the precursor of planned tailings storage facilities, it also possibly explains why the mining lease is that shape as the original designer of the mine gave themselves room to move for several large tailings cells at the northeast end of the mining lease. Another fortunate outcome from the cessation of mining in 2022 was the stopping of filling in the Golden Wings area with tailings, because as we have seen everywhere else, the sterilization drilling done either before or at construction looks like it was ineffective.
Yeah, I totally agree with you that the drilling on that long section north of Never Never has very few deep holes greater than 100m or 150m depth so pretty much blue sky potential there.
As the Patient Wolf maps and cross-sections in the post from @Boolgeeda Dream above show, exploration geos going at it in a few different directions with the RC drilling which is typical in early exploration drilling, but once they do get a few intercepts with deeper RC or with oriented drill core there could be a eureka moment where they manage to put together what the geometry of any mineralization is in fresh rock. possibly the same process as already seen in the exploration and discovery of the Never Never Lode where new information of the geometry of the gold mineralization led to a greater understanding and subsequent discovery of the Never Never Lode in an orientation that previous explorers and miners had not expected.
