re: Ann: Belview Coking Coal Project JORC Res... Stanmore Coal (ASX: SMR) is a stock on the move as investors have started to transition back into companies with prospective coal projects in the highly prized Bowen and Surat Basins of Queensland.
What sets Stanmore apart from many other coal focused companies its size is that projects such as Belview are located on the existing Blackwater rail line serving the coal ports of Gladstone, providing a secure low cost rail and port capacity for the project.
Stanmore now has a 322 million tonne Inferred Resource at the Belview underground Coking Coal Project (EPC 1114 and EPC 1186) in the Bowen Basin.
There is also an additional exploration target of between 204 million tonnes and 306 million tonnes.
Initial coal quality testing demonstrates potential to produce a low ash coking coal, accompanied by a secondary PCI product.
The stock is up 60% from its lows in late June-2013.
