the Benmara Project, South Nicholson Basin is a new province, with demonstrated proof of concept. it requires multiple seasons and regional scale geophysical data sets, which OZL / BHP haven't spent the money on. they are walking away too early imo. wasn't expecting Disallowed results from this season, it was non-dilutive and long term play for RML. smart move to protect shareholders from a project requiring deep pockets and multiple years.
surely another major or mid tier will come in on it?
can the new board pull its finger out and bring in a new partner?
