re: Ann: Berau Coal Project - Mining Producti... The Company is pleased to advise that a Mining Production Operations Licence (Izin Usaha Pertambangan Operasi Produksi or IUP Production Operations) has been granted for Strike?s Berau Coal Project.
This licence allows the mining and sale of coal from the Berau Project concession, subject to final approval of a Mine Plan by the Regency of Berau. The grant of the Mining Production Operations Licence is the key pre-requisite for the conduct of mining activities.
Ancillary permits still to be obtained include permits relating to road and port construction. The granting of these permits required the grant of the Mining Production Operations Licence. Now that such licence has been granted, the Company will be proceeding with applications for the grant of the ancillary permits as soon as possible.
