Unfortunately a company doesn’t have a choice in the timing of an announcement release. I’m sure we don’t know what imperatives could have been in play to do this deal today / yesterday. I’d think i would rather get the deal done than defer a deal simply to defer an announcement. Once signed, continuous disclosure dictates release. Going down the slippery road of withholding disclosure isn’t something I’d like to see for a quick SP impact. Maybe just me.
