Operations are being improved physically and procedurally. The key date marker is now October, to complete the upgrade to 120ktpa. This date can’t be moved without impacting once again “the peak summer solar evaporation period”.
While temporarily downsizing the ponds isn’t ideal, the learnings once successfully navigated will fast track the expertise required to run the mine for 50 years.
