Sorry I have no relevant technical knowledge on this specific type of plant , however in general you are right in your reasoning mass pull is not a predictor for final recovery % - is the raw material input quoted on a wet or dry basis , impurities also need to be taken into account at both the input (guessing NaCl) and output - ie what happened to the Mg ?
I doubt they "ran out of salts" look at the stock pile on the ROM pad
Agree would be nice to know how close they are to nailing this - my guess is there are some third parties that know but not us mushrooms
