Dude - No one is pretending this is a good deal for existing shareholders. This is a VC firm exiting an over-extended position in a country that they no longer operate in while protecting its debt to the best of its abilities. The tiny percentage of retail holders don't stand a chance of swaying this result. The only reason I am still watching this forum is because I took a bath on SGH and wanted to see how it eventually played out.
I feel bad for the people who rode this to the bottom; this isn't the outcome that your loyalty deserved.
The people responsible for this mess, yes you Mr Grech, have gone on to other things with no real consequences.
This isn't the end for Slaters, it is a household name brand, had stellar performance in the last half, and has a pretty fat pipeline of Class Action work that could provide significant profits if they eventually settle.
Allegro have bought well, congratulations to them.
