So are you assuming some sort of sugar free all natural gummy single serve?
USA gummy market and see just what is out there. Massive growth in vita gummies to replace pills for Vitamin and supplements ( what a who ha with little info on bio availability of ingredients and marketing claims) so wondering if folk will just give their kids a expensive vita gummy and "boost " their kids or buy a separate item ( candy / lolly) ?

For example - a premium gummy in USA is

Perfect market to enter with only small players with no marketing budgets - yeah right. They originally took on the large Italian with a several year no competition free kick and screwed it up so with that sucess behind them they are now trying to muscle in on a tiny obviously under-resourced incumbent a tiny German outfit. Gotta pick your market segment and competition and set yourself a big challenge .. Going to be very interesting if they are going to try and do it in native animal shapes or something for each country as I can't see another marketing angle for differentiation and add a educational aspect to build on their knowledge / brand. If it is a plain Jane gummy it will be pissing $ away IMO. They need a hook.

Production - white label production or are they setting up facility? Costs ? Launch costs. Well I really hope they know their market and have done their research.

Single serve are out there , organic, vegan USA made etc etc Hard , soft coated and all shapes including bars. Be interesting to see where they think there is a hole in the market and what their existing distribution partners are telling them will get shelf space. Single serve means the register and means massive competition for that physical space.

So Yowie is going to need a lot of support from retail groups to get this off the ground IMO . Will have an idea as soon as we see what shape and style they have chosen with what inner and outer packaging. All staff have changed so wonder who came up with gummy and how they will promote it.

I don't see it as a low risk (nothing is in candy when you don't have a brand and viable existing line) but at least they are using $ and trying something rather than sitting on hands.
