I've been thinking about "What market is big actually in"? This might sound an odd question to those who think of BIG as video production and advertising. I'm leaning more towards a more generalist description of "internet information provider". Sure video drives the business, but it's function is of providing info to potential purchasers of products and services.
Havering now acquired Tipsly and the instant video based service/product review capability, I looked at TripAdvisor (Market Capitialisation US$4.2bn) and compared its offerings with Big. Other than flights, not much difference other than scale. Is the new Tipsly enabled BIG app the beginning of the end for TripAdvisor? BIG's video engine will increasingly pull custom from other internet based information providers?
BIG at $10 SP begins to look cheap IMO.
