Visiting customers is a sales tactic to increase the on-boarding rate to conditional agreements and up sell them higher value packages. Showing them the app is just one aspect but the real purpose I think is to increase sales and revenue. Its not going to cost that much as it will be part of the current sales teams role which I have seen in the job descriptions advertised.
