What's all this self-righteous 'play with people's money'!
Both of the parties you suggest are duly appointed to their positions and probably far more judicious with their money than you. If your holding is in gold it is most likely speculative unless it is part of a fully diversified carefully calibrated and risk-adjusted portfolio. I have had plenty of experience questioning a wide variety of active fund managers over decades. What I found was they know a hell of a lot more than the average punter on HC. What's more, because of their collective voting power boards are more accountable to them than to you. Who are you accountable to? Populism?
