yes, they are 'going back to the drawing board' so to speak, it appears the electric battery is shifting towards a preferred intermediate product of MHP rather than MSP.
this new direction is actually a more simpler flowsheet, to produce precursors and cathode active materials (PCAM/CAM) directly, bypassing NiSO4 and CoSO4 production, decreasing costs. (its funny how your preferred peer, has flagged this shift as well, yet you don't see this as a negative for them?, were the pilot runs a waste for ARL to produce sulfate trials?)
PCAM, is still very much in the picture in my opinion, LG must be driving the new modification of the pilot plant, lets wait for the new samples due soon and the subsequent pfs figures.
