when I worked at SCM Chemicals In WA back in the day ...after the product had gone though the filters it was sent out for clarification...we used to add floculant ? powder if I recall and the mud would rise to the top and we would run the good liquid forward ready for the moors then calsification ...dry out and then bag ....ilmenite from cable sands ....and plenty of sulphuric acid etc....then Kemerton came along and Tiwest......and the process changed to coking coke etc ...now Mary Kathleen was another story relign on ball mills crushers sorters rodmills ponds etc....and then only having Mount Isa or the Curry to escape too!! I have stories of both ....jabba jabba ...
