Thanks jb,
Historically Barrick were getting ~5g/t, however it is important to note that KMC are doing things a little differently.
For a start they are removing the crown pillar which should provide excellent early grades and give us a good kick start. Then there is the use of airlegs which, whilst producing less tonnage ought to produce higher grades. And finally there is the stockpiling of lower grade ore for milling later by ourselves (more cost effective). We will not be wasting our time and money sending low grades by haul road.
I can only guestimate that the grade sent to Kanowna Belle will be 5g/t at the least.
low 5000 tonnes @ 5g/t = 25000g or ~880 oz/mo
high 20000 tonnes @ 5g/t = 100000g or ~3520 oz/mo
I am naturally an optimist, which is handy atm, but if we split the difference we could see
12500 tonnes @ 5g/t = 62500g or ~2200 oz/mo
Go the angry ant!
