So, it certainly looks a lot darker despite it being same time of day (albiet autumn vs winter). I would say dewatering needs to occur again if they plan on progressing the pit at Mt Freda.

Looking at those photos - I think it's the shadow of the south facing wall in the pit. Sun is much further north in the sky in the middle of winter. In the first pic - you can see the shadow of the wall but it's just not projecting out as far.
