and now that I have written about a CGM and the fact that diabetics are at greater risk of CKD , I am thinking that a patient wouldn't want multiple devices attached to them, perhaps the end product could be a highly improved CGM that does multiple testing, a true Lab on Chip wearable 'Lab' monitoring device ? ...amazing ..!

I believe to my understanding Blood Glucose readout is more to do with an electrical current, there are various internet info's on the actual tech behind them etc
