This has been discussed on this forum before. It doesn't matter if it's a single use chip, the point is that it won't cost hundreds of dollars to send to a fully accredited medical laboratory, which would cost even more. So it has the use-case of either happy to pay a lot or even more than a laboratory to get an instant result, or, the use-case of being cheaper than the laboratory, or, the use-case of being in a country where no laboratory is available within a reasonable distance to send a sample to.
