the worlds largest pandemic is a coronavirus - and these guys are developing drugs to target viruses. And you say, nah, don't pursue it. preserve your capital!

Sure they would save money, but what's the opportunity cost on that ?

And for the record, they're certainly not wasting your time and they're certainly not wasting your money.
