My beef with this is that I think we have missed the boat with HCV.
We have Direct acting drugs in phase 3 without interferon showing extraordinary results.(Gilead/Abbott)
Best case scenario for bit 225 is a positive phase 2b trial with rib/int in 1 year. I personally think 18 months by the time we get 3 month toxicity trials finished and get permits to start and finish 3 month dosing on patients.
The big pharmas have already set their paths on commercialization of new HCV drugs
HIV is where there is significant potential for bit225.
