Yes true, and the case report if you read it doesn't claim that the remdesivir directly caused recovery- it was tried "off label" because of significant clinical deterioration and in all probability it was the antibiotics used to treat the pneumonia that enabled recovery. It's just a case report true, but interesting nonetheless and anything making it into NEJM is generally worth paying attention to. The progress of the RCT will be interesting.
