Im not sure BIT225 is the compound they would be testing against Covid-19. It works mostly against cells of the myeloid lineage. With the amount of time they are taking it has to be a new compound they are working on targeting the E protein of the Covid-19 virus and the pre-clinical work could go on for a while. Will they even get to phase 1 before a vaccine is ready ??.
