This is off track re the current clinical streams of Race, but just out of interest: I haven’t seen any articles looking at FTO x metabolic activity/T2D/weight etc that investigate the role of FTO being an AKG- dependent molecule. Given AKG is involved in the Kreb cycle/CAC, do you think that overactivity of FTO reduces AKG availability for metabolic processes, which could partly explain its role in weight management/metabolic health? I’ve always found the AKG element an interesting part of FTO, but haven’t really seen it talked about
